Default Welsh Dee/Afon Dyfrdwy

MADCASTER

River Dee "Mafia"

« Thread Started on 18th Apr, 2005 at 16:47 »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What lays ahead is a tale of a group of fishermen who embark on a rollercoaster journey

bringing you valuable
information and a laugh along the way,

Based in the hills of the Welsh Dee is a sleepy little village called Corwen,
Corwen is the place where the Atlantic Salmon make for
on there epic journey from waters worlds away..some stop some pass through but they usually

dont go a lot further as its near the end of the road.

Seatrout also embark on this journey too.

The fishermen who pass on the knoledge to you are from all walks of life and have battled

long and hard with travellers and gypsies even taking one in as there own, even a village

gay..

They are characters known as spies...1 to 8....who have in turn been initiated by cruel

tests of courage and strength and personal stamina.
lead by the most feared figure to grace Wales
the DON......

we bring to you.. " THE DEE MAFIA " ..

Please read our thread on the Welsh Dee but remember the characters are not ficticous,
and we do enjoy catching anglers as well as fish

Default Fishing this weekend

Hi Tango,

It seems a bit strange and lonely on here at the moment, I tried to use my old avatar but it won't let me.

I'll phone you later in the week with regards Saturday if the Dee isn't in flood?

At least the extra water may get the salmon moving?

Rained hard today and more on the way, I'll check the river am on Thursday and let you know what the condition is then.

Any reports of salmon being seen or caught in the Corwen area - tempted to have a go this weekend.
