Default Reel for 7ft 4wt cane rod

Something traditional looking like a Hardy lightweight would be nice. Or would consider a gold/bronze reel like a Marryat. Flexible on budget.
Cheers,
Ryan

The Orvis CFO is the dog's danglies and looks great on grass.

Shimano Biocraft 3/4. They are only £80 new and come in a nice olive colour with wooden handle and silent retrieve. I've had mine a few years and never had any bother with it.

Ryan have a look at the William Salters, very nicely made and traditional, and around £65 hard to beat.

Hi Ryan,

So many nice reels to chose from!!

I do like the Orvis Reels, actually I wouldn't mind a CFO myself! But there's the BBS I or BBSII, they are bomb proof and look the business! The William Salter Reel, that Steven Mentioned, They are hand made traditional style reels; and they really do look good, well made, also a pleasure to use!

But there is another nice Reel; and it's underrated in my opinion! Have a look at the A J Forbes Range of Reels! I'm thinking of getting another one for my 7ft,#3,weight! They're not expensive and are really nice reels!

Thanks Mostyn, the Forbes reels look great. Might end up going for one of the Aerials
