Default Pike landing net wanted

As title suggests, I'm looking for a landing net and telescopic handle and bag/tube suitable for pike. If anyone has one they want rid of, let me know before I start trawling ebay!

Thanks

John

Make sure you get one with a lrge mesh. These micro mesh jobs the carp boys use are dangerous for pike. They get teeth stuck in the mesh and trebles are also difficult to get out of the mesh. Which is bad if the pike decides to thrash in the net. See what's available in salmon nets as these have large mesh and are good for pike.

Would this sort of thing do? I think the net diameter is 60*70cm? I assumed that'd be a bit small for safely landing pike - although the biggest I've caught to date has only been about 2lbs.

Cheers. John

The holes in the mesh need to be about an inch/2.5cm in size. 60 to 70 cm is a good size, get double figure pike in there no problem.

I own a Fox pike net, teardrop shaped head with sliding handle, like a Gye net Superb. Salmon type meshes, like the Snowbee one I fit to an old Farlows Salmon Gye net split the tail fins of pike badly
Seen a good sized pear shaped head for screwing onto a pole that had a rubbery mesh like a brodin but bigger at Fishing Republic think it may of been Fladen or Spro but if I did not have the Fox would deffo of bought one, think it was £23. Will not damage fish with this
