9' 5# winston rod, either a B2X or a B2MX as I don't
think the budget will stretch to a B3X? Let me know
of you can help

would you consider 9 ft but an 11 wgt ? It has a nice touch for a tarpon rod.

Maybe a touch overpowered for trout well the ones I catch

All i have are costum jobs so i'm of no help but i'm sure you can find a IIx for little money somewhere.. Have you checked the States for one??
