Many thanks both of you. I found tubes going cheap on Glasgow Angling Centre and have also found a rod sock for £2 there also. The information is a bit scant, it just states for a 9ft fly rod, it could be one or 3 pieces. But at that price, if it does not work out, I'll try Steve or Guides and blanks.
