Default Allcock's "The Colonel" and Hardy's Anglers' Guide 1937

Hi, I have an Allcock's "The Colonel" split bamboo fly rod. I bought it quite a few years ago and have used it a couple of times. It is 8ft 6in and in good condition, with no whipping's missing etc just the female ferrule in need of re-fixing/whipping (see pic) and odd chip to the finish. The snakes and rings are in good order. It doesn't state the line weight, but I used it with a #5 floater, which cast fine.

I also have a 1937 edition, Hardy's Anglers' Guide. This is also in good condition, with just the spine a little "loose".

I was wondering if anyone could let me know their value, as if they are worth silly money (which I doubt), I might let them go. Pic's below.

Cheers Dave

Dave, order the Lear jet and two supermodels.

About £40 for the 1937 Angler's guide (30 - 50); and about the same for the rod, if you can find a buyer - one of these bamboo guys may just bite . . .

for the rod you may get up to £100 on a really good day on ebay.

I would tidy it up and fish with it myself - but then I'm one of these bamboo guys.

Edit, I meant about £90 for the rod would be good . . . .
