Default Hardy Ultralites

Hi All,

I'm after some advice.

I've got an identical pair of 10ft 7wt hardy Ultralite rods. They have been lightly used and come in their original tube.

Do you think these will be worth anything, either now or in the future?

Thanks In advance

I looked at the Ultralite rods when they first came out...............decided that they were not in the same league as Sage so got myself a pair of SP's instead.

I suppose if you put the up in the loft and left them for your great great grandchildren, they might be worth a few pence

Still prefer Sage though

Sorry to be so negative chicken but if I remember rightly it was around ten or twelve years back and I had a decent sized wedge burning a hole I went to Farlows and looked at the Hardy then I trotted further down Pall Mall and popped into Sportfish.I couldn't believe how big the difference in quality was between Sage and their English rivals.Given that both the Hardy and Sage were retailing at over £500 you might (and I would) expect that they would both display rather obvious sings of truly superior quality. The Sage did but the Hardy didn't

Superb rods. I have the Ultralite plus 10ft 6ins for a 7 weight. Great sea trout loch rod, if I find a better one I'll buy it but I'm not holding my breath.

I tried a 9ft6ins 7 weight at the Glasgow Casting Club last Thursday that one of the lads brought along. Overhead and roll casts very well indeed - much better roll casting rod than most modern rods.

Sorry not up on prices.

Agree - superb fast light rods . I still use my Ultralite 10' #7 and cant find a reason to replace it . I owned also a 8'6'' #5 Ultralite which I liked very much especialy for dry flies, but sold it and replaced it with a cane rod for dry fly work.
