Does anyone have info on E Griffiths The Favourite rod please?

A pal has inherited and asked me fo info

Can't get a photo at present but we've decided it is probably a one-off rather than a factory-made. Also, as it is called The Favourite I presume that any factory producing this would soon have had a visit from Hardy.
