Default Hardy ox-blood Neroda Clip box ... where?

''wanted'' hardy ox-blood neroda clip box

"Have a friend who's needing a older hardy Neroda ox-blood colour 40 clip box as a special gift for someone , he's going to fill it with his own flies for him

i'm trying to help him find a good 40 clipper or open to other amount of clips , also would sooner have ox-blood but will take the brown molted , also willing to pay top dollar if in mint condition as it's a special gift , really don't want one with a crack or piece of hinge missing ,"

"Dutch" over on the SpeyPages web board (all 2-hander fishing) posted the above. Not having heard of these I did a Google and he's right, he may well have to 'pay up.'

Any one know where he may get his hands on something like this?

Fred

Lightbulb I have no doubt about that!

What 'Google' gave me, including Christies Auction House, says (if he can find one) Dutch will be in very big US Bucks.

But? .. times you do what you have to do?

The 40 clip (salmon box) seem especially difficult to find - try the auction houses specialising in vintage tackle. Wish I had one

Red face

From what (little) I've found on the Internet, I suspect your right.

Fred,
I now use an old Neroda box for my fishing box. I bought one with damaged clips and have simply added foam

Thumbs up Great looking fly box there Malcolm.

Need to see if I can 'blow up' (increase in size) the photo and get an idea what flies you're using. Do note that most appear to be tied on double hooks. Amazing how many of the AS patterns work a treat for Steelhead.

Fred

Edit: Many thanks for the link Mr. RT; will post same over to Dutch on the SpeyPages web board.
