Please could you help me. I managed to purchase 3 Richard Wheatley flies for my collection a few weeks back. These were a Supervisor Tandem size 2 and size 4 and a Mickey Finn Tandem size 4. According to the back of the pack they were "Made and Printed in Kenya for:
Richard Wheatley English Fly Tackle
Division of M Sharf & Company Somerville MA 02143"

I have a picture of Fred Sharf at Wheatleys factory in 1983 when Frank Wheatley was celebrating 65 years in the fishing tackle trade. Has anyone got any further information as to what other flies were made and sold under the Wheatley name or a catalogue showing this information which I could copy.

Also there was a fly called a Wheatley does anyone have a tying plan for it

I have seen a reference to a fly and the name Richard Wheatley mentioned. The fly was tied for him? by him? in his honour...can't quite rem. I have read about it in a book I own. That narrows things down to one of twenty books.
I am just starting tying again so I have them all out at the mo. When I come across it I'll let you know.
