Default 1950's Rod & Reel - Help

It's my fathers 60th birthday in January and I would like to buy him a cane rod and reel (Not cane) that was manufactured in 1950. Can anyone advise where I should start looking?.

I will make a start E Bay would be you best bet if you want to pick up a bargain but if you want provenance you would have to go to a dedicated seller of old split cane & old reels.

Default 1950 Tackle

Carl one of our own Forum members H4Hardy should be able to help through his www.vintagefishingtackle.co.uk site.
Drop Aaron an e-mail or browse His site as I am sure He would be able to Help, if He doesnt have anything He sure can point you in the right direction.
