Default hardy wipping thread colour

I've bought a 1959 hardy LRH dry fly (a bargain on good old ebay!!) but it needs a couple of eyes re-attaching before I can scare the fish with it!

I've whipped rods before so that shouldnt be a problem but what I dont know is what specific colour and guage the threads should be.

I'm not a stickler for correctness so it's not vital but if anyone knows what shade of red and green they should be and the guage I should be buying i would be most gratefull.

Ta,

Dale

Hi Sage,

I got in touch with Hardy (very nice people!) to find the date for it but forgot to ask about the colours and guage and feel a little silly asking them for something else!

It was only £6.50 (!) so dont mind spending a couple of quid on it (hmm, my Yorkshireness coming out there!)
