Steve,
Saturday viewing 8.30 - 11.45
Auction starts @ 12.00, as Spaydoc said.

Are you going?

Brian

Brian,

Yes I will be there a little earlier to do some browsing.
I guess this is not the place to go if you have a nervous tick!
Hopefully I will also catch up with Granty, I haven't seen him in more than 10 years and rediscovered him on this forum!
Will you be making it down?

Steve

I'm not going Steve. I'd only find things like #286 and realise I 'needed' them . . you know how it is.
Early reports are that there are some nice reels there.
Enjoy, leave credit card at home.

Well after years of trying I finally made it to one of Neil's auctions.
I could only make half of it due to family commitments, and the few things I was thinking of bidding on in the first half went higher than I was prepared to pay.
I had arranged to meet Granty there and I didn't see him for quite a while, then finally I spotted him when the room started clearing out, but I didn't want to disturb him as he was right up the front. When he finally looked around the room I caught his eye and I raised my hand, and found that I had made a bid on a trotting reel! It was a nice one so I made a few more bids before bowing out. Luckily for me the VH which went for £8k wasn't going at that time!!
