Default Auction site

I am in Canada so I have no way of knowing if this auction site is reputable. Would anyone be willing to comment or send me a private message? Some beautiful reels there!

Thank you,

J. Van Gorder

I have known Neil Freeman for over 10 years and have both bought and sold from his Auction Site.

My Fly Fishing Reel collection was more than substantial and Neil took the lot in one go and auctioned them over the period of 5 Auctions.

Completely and utterly trust-worthy, but like everyone else he is only human and seldom overlooks things, but it does happen.

If you are not sure speak to Jim Williams of Just Reels in the States, and ask for his opinion.

Neil will treat a person selling or buying a £10 item with the same professionalism as someone buying/selling an item for £10,000. I know because I have witnessed it.

P.M. me if you want more details.

Hi Spaydoc,

If you've every browsed Clark's classic fly rod forum then you'll know that many from that side of the pond buy from Neil and look forward to each event with anticipation.
I'm sure he's actually linked in some way with this forum as wel!! and is a regular contributor to the "Classic Angling" publication.
I've had only 1 dealing with Neil when I won a couple of Mohlins. One had a faulty click & pawl mechanism and I contacted him for a a repairer as I hadn't expected any comeback with an auction. He replaced it from stock immediately, terrific service and the guide prices appear to be pretty close to the actuals.
I will be attending my first in a few weeks, though when I first contacted him over a dozen years ago I lived 2 or 3 streets from the auction house!

Cheers

stevel, thanks for the information. I didn't know Clark's site but I do now! A lot of good info there for a neophyte like me. Are you the same 'stevel' who is on Juro's site?

Aaron, nice of you to offer. I will send you an email.

I have been to England many times and want to bring my wife for her first visit. Maybe I can make it coincide with a future auction.

Julian,
No problems. I don't know who Juro is, I googled it and none the wiser. With a handle like mine there's bound to be others with the same, though I am known by this on a few FF forums around the world. On Clark's and possibly a couple of others I'm known by my father-in-law's street address in Madrid!
Cheers and hope you win the items you're bidding on!
Steve
