Default old abu lure

Hi Lads

Back in the early/mid 80's I seem to remember Abu brought out a spinner called the " Abu sea mepps??? can anyone recall it or one with a similar name?? The mepps part is confusing to me and may not be correct as they may of had legal problems had they called it a mepps. ( just the name sticks in my brain)

The lure was a great catcher of Sea Trout back then. Similar shape to a toby but no Fins,, Silver in colour, no patternation at all on lure, was around 10g in weight and definately wasn't a Koster or Krill although it was supposed to imitate a sand eel.
If anybody has one or an old abu Cat with a photo of one, could they upload a photo please

Many Thanks

Shaun

Wayne Real knows as much about ABU tackle as anyone, have a look on his site and see if it's there. He's very approachable if you contact him directly. He once helped me source a part to make my Delta 5 reel right hand wind.

There was an Abu Pep which was in a "Must Pack" I had but I was sure is was for Mackerel. Definately never heard of a Abu Mepp. Other that The Droppen which is based on the Mepp/Vibro idea. Mepp is a registered trade name & I doubt ABU would have used it. There is a picture of one on that site above.
