Thumbs up Provenance or pound notes...a peice of history

Hi guys......posted this in wrong section but got here now
Not mine but is for sale (deceased estate)

Provenance at least please from you experts out thereAnd worth of course......I know diddly bout these two rods.

First is a 3peice, 2hinge rod,(yes HINGE) numbered and dated 1877
Patented Astons 'Eclipse'

Brass ferules slide over to lock the hinge
Rings missing from top section.....if it ever had any?????.....perhaps should read..someone has put rings on bottom two sections


Second rod is perhaps a little easier on the eye

This one has had a tentative offer but nothing etched in stone
