Default Loch Leven Fly box

Found this in the garage , give it abit of a clean . Must be years old anyone seen 1 like this before with the loch name on the front or is this a brand name ?

These were very popular in the 60s. A good conditioned one (yours is not) can fetch a few bob on E Bay. There were made by Richard Wheatley, yours appears to show their logo. They were not expensive to buy at the time. Have a look here for info.

Great idea... use it. Stick ethafoam in the lid where the felt sheet is missing

i was actually gonna find a row of clips for the lid side and fit them as its not a good example anyway ... but it does look great with my traditional wets in it i must say !!!!

Hi,
the box box is very common,sold mainly in the 60s to 70s in thousands, the logo is Richard Wheatley who still make fly boxs today,hope this helps .Trutta.

thanks trutta , my friend has a RW fly box the exact same iv now discovered but just plain silver , got my traditional wets in it now
