salmon bob is on a distinguished road
Default pd mullochs

I have been given this rod it is stamped pd mullochs of perth.
Does anybody have any info on these?
Also i dont intend to use it so im open to offers for it if anybody would like to buy it.
The rod is approx 11ft in lenghth

hi mate your rod looks like its made of greenheart wood
as pd mallocks is still on the go in perth i would phone them to find out more and see if they would like to buy it it would make a good window piece as there shop made it

Aye Mallochs used to be a great shop, has went downhill a bit in the past 20 years.

My office is in shouting distance of the present shop. but that old Greenheart rod didn't come out of there - the original shop was in a different and very Victorian premises a street or two away. Last time I was in that one a Mr Cargill was the manager. Feels like a lifetime ago, that.

The present place was bought by an English couple a year or several ago (maybe less, unsure) and they're friendly enough folks - they've had the sense not to do a makeover, and there's still knowledgeable local staff to serve you.
