I hope so, I've still got several Abu Hi-Los, both single bodied and jointed, and they are a superb pike plug.

One of the very best, I found the Arc Minnow which is luminous to be the best, glows really bright. Imagine that in murky water.

If you had a full set of those leads on the right they would be worth more than the lures.
The Hi Lo would maybe raise £5-£10 depending on condition.
The Daredevle spoon a bit less.

Hi Highlander,

The leads did not come in sets, the were sold individually.

Its not a "Daredevil spoon" The actual wording and spelling used is
TROLL DEVLE
DETROIT U.S.A.

Another company that looks like it has gone out of business.

The logo pictured on the spoon is a Trademark of the Dardevle Company (Dare Devil) & is a picture of a Devil & whilst the one you have is undoubtedly old they are currently still in production.

Sorry to disagree, whilst CAPTA leads could be bought individualy they could also be bought as a set. I should know I have one from way back from 1/4oz-1oz. Stored in a purpose made wee plastic box.

Hi-Lo s are most probably one of the best pike lures ever produced. Of course not all, but some sizes/colors are realy good.

To be totally correct, the manufacturer of the spoon is the Eppinger Manufacturing Company and the specific brand is the Dardevle.

The model is the Troll Devle, which I have long been told was designed for trolling as opposed to the casting or jigging spoons.

The color pattern is Crackle Frog, a traditional favorite for pike and muskie.

As to the value, I'd say not much if anything. I'd say they are most valuable when used on the end of a fishing line.

Millions of these spoons were made and the tackle boxes of almost any angler in the US and Canada will almost certainly have a selection of Dardevle spoons. It's one of those must-haves for a huge variety of freshwater species, in fact I suspect every freshwater species in North America has been taken on some type of Dardevle.
