Thanks in advance

Isn't the Wallop Brook a trib of the Test? I have the 6`9" version of the same rod and it is a lovely wand for a small stream. I wouldn't say it was a slow action (for cane).

Nether Wallop Mill was owned by the late Dermot Wilson who sold the Constable range of shortish cane rods in the mid '70s - he was also Orvis importer for the UK at that time.

Everything about Dermot Wilson was always overvalued - including Charles Jardine!

Fished the Wallop Brook a couple of times through the offices of Chalkstream Breaks - good wild trout water; the fish are not big but they are quite tricky.

Unless you consider the Wilson International 8' 3" #5 cane rods that he and Charles Ritz designed and Sharpes built, one of the greatest rods of all time...

Wallop Brook http://www.fishingbreaks.co.uk/movies/ninemilewater.htm
Stunning bit of water if you like fishing a narrow stream for wild trout.

Don't know much about your rod though.
