Default Are these lures collectable?

I was given some lures today and I was wondering if they were collectable.

This picture is off six small devon minnows about 1" in length. They are still in their original packets and are stamped Hardy on one of the fins. Complete with mounts and trebles.

Basically anything old with the Hardy logo is collectible. More so in pristine condition. Not so sure about the packaging though might be a later addition.
In a box is always more desirable I believe but yes to your question.

have you any idea how old they are or where they were made as i like looking at and have been thinking of starting to do some collecting of antique tack (fly fishing of course) and i would love to try some of the old stuff out on a few wild trout....

I had been told that by the owner so hoped to get feedback on the forum. Any ideas on the best way to go about selling it?

You would get a good price going through the traditional auctions - Angling Auctions, Mullocks, Bonhams etc. But there is a reasonable amount of commission to pay.

I'd sell through ebay with clear photos and a good description - there is quite a strong market for these kind of lures at the moment.

I'd guess £100 + ish depending on the day

Hi, Heathfield, If those little metal Devons are heavy, they are probably Hardy Bullnose Metal Devons. They could be worth a surprising amount of cash, as they are in their wrappers. Some upstream-minnow spinning enthusiasts would give their eye teeth for a couple. My old salmon fishing teacher used pass his rod over to me when boat fishing, occasionally, saying, 'Now be careful with that one, Terry, I only have one or two of them.' It wwa guaranteed to put you off!! TC
I have few, some I made myself, down to 3/4 inch. They sink like stink!!

The 1" versions weigh 3.8g and the 7/8" ones weigh 2.8g, not that heavy. nice wee devons though, I recall that they were deadly for trout in my younger days.
