Default Black spigot on Hardy Fibalite Perfection

I recently came across a picture of fibalite perfection with black spigot. I have one, but out of memory, the spigot in mine is brown-i assume glass. I assume the black is graphite? Does anyone have a Fibalite Perfection with black spigot or can confirm that they were also made in such version?

Thank you,

BlueOne

I would not worry unduly about that I am sure the blanks (spigots) was black at one time. I remember buying Fibretube 2pce blanks to build a rod & they were black. Would have been late 70s early 80s It would have been after the JET series.

The "black" spigots were on the later blanks, introduced when there was still a lot of glass blanks around & the new fangled stuff called carbon was just coming onto the scene. Carbon then was higher priced pro-rata so this was a way of reducing stocks of glass while giving these blanks an up to the minute high tech approach without breaking either the bank or the spigot.
