Andrew,

Those are all good and classic references. Trouble is most of them are expensive. Still, c'mon ACW, you old cheapskate - pay yer money but don't bid against me!

Hi Andy,

Have a look at http://www.mullocksauctions.co.uk/ they hold vintage tackle auctions on a regular basis, and also you can check back over previous auctions to see what prices certain items sold for.

There always seems to be a few bargains to be had, provided you are selective.

Hope the above helps.

Hi Andy,

Judging by the comments posted on their website following the last tackle auction, it would appear that people aren't spending as much on old tackle as previously, so there may be some bargain to be had?

If I remember correctly, their online tackle catalogue (complete with pictures) is usually available about 2 weeks before the auction.

Good luck in securing yourself a few bargains!

What's that saying? They don't make them like they used to!

Some of the old tackle will outlive new tackle 3 times over, and besides, it also has character!

Happy fishing!
