I inherited a box of flies some years ago, one of them, instead of having a barb, has a kink in the hook, shouldnt imagine it has any value, but I wondered if anyone had an idea of its age.

I sometimes use those hooks. They were from Partridge called Roman Moser barbless. I have some flies tied on them in my box and they are a fortnight old.

Can you find out when the previous owner last went fishing? That would give you a clue to the age.
