old rod info ar abbott 14 ft

i have a old rod think it is a salmon rod it is hexagon the name says ar abbott rod. hand built its got cork bugs on all the sections and it has two top sections the rod is 14 ft long. it has a funny locking parts on all the sections any info on it thanks it belongs to a old guy who lives near me the rod is in very good condition i will try to put some pics up

The pics would help ,abbot and imrie rings a bell ,you really need to give us lots of info for us to help .
