Default Hardy Richard Walker Superlight

Got a pair of these, just wondering what they're worth?
Both are the 9' 3" 7-8wt with the extension butt.
1 is in excellent condition whilst the other has a repaired tip

Excellent rods; I would have thought a good rod bag, and original labels would increase the value significantly.

I wasn't aware they had extension butts.

Whilst on the subject of the Richard Walker Superlight; I have the matching wading net somewhere - but I've no idea if it has any value.

I
Puss,
think you would get a good price for that net ,I beleive RichardW of this forum rates them highly ,when I was a Grafham bank angler in the 70s I always wanted one but it was out of my league £££££s wise .A superb bit of kit !

I'm not sure if 'extension butt' is the rite name. but theres a thing which makes the rod 9' 6".
Yup both are in blue rod bags with the hardy logo.
Value?

They are probably worth 50-70 quid each. Nice rods back in the day. I have one myself. In fact I used to have two until I broke one trying to get my leg over the crossbar of my bike

Not sure what they're worth but they were great rods, I've still got one myself and the Superlite net was a masterpiece of design. Like so many of Hardy's more innovative creations it's long discontinued.

Edit: Here's one on ebay with push in extension.

Not sure about the Superlight. I have a pair of Ricard Walker Farnborough rods. Are they the same? I bought them in 1984,and they are still a pleasure to use.

They were the first carbon rods anywhere! 9' 0" #7/8.

That's why Richard Walker got Hardy's to name the rod 'Farnborough' in honour of the Hampshire town where carbon fibre was first invented; at the Royal Aircraft Establishment (now BAE Systems).

A RW Superlight with this label is currently £70 on eBay
