Default Mitre Hardy Nymph

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help. My Dad has this rod which he used to use as a young man, but has been sat around for 40 years odd now! In another post someone said it could be valuable but I think they must be wrong!

I phoned Hardy and they say it was made between '63 and '68. They wouldn't give an opinion as to value but the guy did say if it were to go on ebay that I "might be surprised". This just adds to the mystery.

I just wondered if anyone could enlighten me any more.

Manythanks

Owen

It very much depends on the length of the rod. Most cane users won't look at any rod over 8ft 6ins in length.

One listed here that was auctioned for £35.

I'd keep it, use it, enjoy it! (I think my dad also had a mitre hardy something-or-other!)

Default Mitre Hardy

I had a Mitre Hardy 7' 4wt when younger, It was whipped in green and the cane was a pale yellow... lovely little rod... gave it to a friend as a present, he had wanted it for ages... then the bu**er sold it, I was not well pleased.
