Question Odgen Smith

I received a Odgen Smith fly rod from my aunt after my uncle passed . I have never seen a rod like it . the But and middle section are natural Bamboo?
the tip section is six sided . The ferrules twist together and have a locking mechanism that slips over a thread on the top ends of the butt and middle sections . The Butt measures 371/2", the middle section measures36", the tip measures 32". the rod may have been broken and it has some loose thread windings . Any information about this rod would be greatly appreciated . Would it be worth restoring ? As a keep sake or to fish ?
Thanks
Tyron
