Default Reel restoration

I have an old Hardy 2 7/8" Uniqua reel where the spool is loose on the spindle, presumably due to decades of wear.
I have spoken to Hardy and all they could offer without seeing it was to send it to them and they'd have a look.

Does anyone know if this is the sort of restoration work is possible and at what sort of cost?
(The reel is probably of little intrinsic value in itself, but is priceless in terms of sentimental value, sothe cost or restoration is largely unimportant, so just looking for a heads-up on that front.)

Garry Mills will be able to sort it out - give him a ring, nice chap, and explain the problem.

Thanks guys. (Always a good sign to get more than one recommendation for the same person.)
