Does anyone know how much are they worth, and what they go for at auction?

Without a photo, it's not so easy. However there is a demand for some of the older style vices mainly from tyers in the U.S. especially if there's a makers name stamped on it. I don't think you're likely to be able to pay for your retirement in Hawaii with it though, but you might get a few quid for it.

Most of these were re-made by the tyer from small engineering vices, so are one-offs which will never command a price as high as a purpose made unit.
