Default A recommendation please for a Hardy Reel

Hi There, I have just recently purchased a vintage Hardy 6' 'Palakona' 5# brook rod which dates to the mid 1970's. I do not intent to use it on a regular basis but would love to give it an airing. Could anybody please suggest which Hardy reel of that period would be ideally suited to this rod?
Thank you

A Featherweight from the Hardy Lightweight Series should fit the bill nicely.

Maybe a Hardy Bougle or a Hardy Marquis that's been used, but in good condition. they were still made by Hardy in the 1970's.

See if you can find a marquis #5 ,I would not part with mine ,have two and several extra spools ,one always holds my silk line .the others a variety of plastic lines .
worth trawling through Anglers rendevous, Fawcetts and norris for these on second hand purchases.
Would be good of Hardys to make these reels in the smaller sizes again .
