The logo must be known to some one , It may be a Martins of Edinburgh, they built quality rods in the 60's and earlier,easker1

Been going through some old T&S, 1978 sportfish sold a rod made by modern arms, the 9' rod was a aftm6/7 4oz or a 8/9 4.5oz, could this be one ? says these are made from lamiglas blanks which are probably stiffer than most, cost new £59.52

If it is a Lammie glass blank from that era they were (probably) 'S-Glass' and the rod action will be darned close to Bamboo.

If so, there are a lot of 'us old guys' that would give a pint of blood to get our hands on that rod. Lamiglas still has a few rod they manufacture out of this material, but all are short sea fishing products.

I also found that MODERN ARMS LTD.CO is also under MARCO. found a thread from here under ROB WILSON FLY ROD, 20th sept 2009 which mentions these rods.
