Default Hardy Princess?

Hi All,

This reel showed up at my local tackle shop and I've never seen anything like it. It's the size of a LRH Lightweight but has Princess stamped on the back. It also has a strange coned fixing for the spindle on the back.

Anyone shed any light on it?

The LRH is normally about 3.1'8th, in diameter some of the older Princess models were 3in, or there abouts? The newer Princess is a bit bigger in diameter. That could have been a specially built for over seas market or custom reel for a private buyer? anyhow - they last for-ever; and take some abuse.

Thanks for the replies.

Mostyn, I didn't know that Princess' were made in anything but the 3.5" size. Thanks for the heads up.

No I didn't buy it. It wasn't for sale.

Best

Jon
