Default Daiwa reel

I've been given a 7250RLA. It's not very vintage or collectable (or even a fly reel) but it would be nice to have it complete and working properly and I wondered if anyone here knows anything about them. Specifically, the bail arm screw and spring were missing. Daiwa USA kindly sent me a new spring but they didn't have the screw and I'd like to know what it looks like. Or even find a spare. Any ideas please?

Mike

Try getting the exact specs of the screw and try some engineering works and see they have one the same, most things are standardised now so you should find one somewhere

Can't help much I'm afraid, although it could be worth going into your local tackle shop for ideas - may be possible to use one off another reel, you never know. Or keep an eye out on ebay for one, for spares - I just googled and there was one sold on there back in November. I know what you mean about just wanting to get it working, I rather like some of those old Daiwa's, boyhood memories an' all that, I've got an old basic (rubbish!) 70s one upstairs from my yoof Don't those spools look narrow by modern standards?

I did, Billy was very kind (and therefore highly recommended) but didn't have the part. He did, however, point me in the right direction for making my own. Thanks to him and to all of you who replied. Especially to Jeff for understanding that, although I don't need it, now I've got it it has to be right.
