Default a carter and company 11 south molton street lon

does anyone know of this company and to how collectable their rods are? i have a rod, not in great condition to sell for a friend of mine. just wanting to know where to start researching. thanks in advance, jon.

According to Graham Turner - Carter & Co were at S Molton Street from approx 1911 - 1969 [Carter goes back to 1853]
They were generally know as retailers rather than 'makers'.

I assume the rod is split cane? Sadly, unless it's 7' 6" or under, it has very little value

enigma, thank you for your reply, i wasn't to sure what it was worth as i would not want to be using it for to long! he will probably keep it as he has had it for years. thanks again jon.
