I am a long time user of the Marquis 4 and 5 reels and really love the way this reels work. Now I need a reel that can balance my new Echo 10'6. I am considering buying an old Marquis on Ebay.

So here is my question: How much does the Marquis 7 or 8 weight (not multiplier). Anybody having an old catalogue or one of this reels that can help me?

128g according to catalogues from 2002-2004. I have the smallest #2/3 marquis reel.

Maybe ask the seller?
I have an identical Hardy-made SA Sytem 8 reel which I'd say weighs about 8oz/200g with line and backing

if its the marquise Dics version the #7 is 179g and the #8 Disc is 190g according to the same catalogue i have.

My Marquis #7 is 168g, according to my kitchen scales.

That's with a line on though, I'm afraid.

Thanks a lot all of you. Its not the model with disk drag I am looking for but the old one with click and pawl.

the click model for #7 should be 128g
