Default Frank Sawyer letter

I have just bought a 1st ed copy of Frank Sawyer's Nymph and the Trout (1958)
at a very cheap price and when opening it I found a two sided letter from Frank Sawyer to the owner of the book dated 23rd Feb 1960. The letter is handwritten and I am having a bit of trouble deciphering it but there is a lot of info concerning his patterns and how to use them.
At the moment I don't intend to sell it but I would like to know if his letters are a common occurrence or are they rare and sought after.
Any info would be appreciated.

Default Re the letter

Hi all thanks for the interest. I have forwarded acopy to sawyers grandson along with a transcript and he was extremely pleased with it.
The letter is date 23rd feb 1960, I am not disclosing name of recipient:

Dear Mr. D.
I am pleased to know my book "Nymphs and the trout" has interested you and very much hope you will get better sport through reading it.
My nymph patterns are advertised from time to time by Mrs. R.Harman of 7 Avon Banks Figheldean W.Salisbury Wiltshire. she ties all patterns and also shrimp lures for grayling & lures for trout. I think you will find the large size nymph patterns on No.1 hooks to be most officious at Sutton Kingham and also more especially towards end of summer - you will find the shrimp has many attractions to these lake trout.
when fishing with nymphs or lures in stillwaters, cast with plenty of slack leader, allow the nymph to sink & then lift rod top to make a steady even pull. watch the floating line and cast gutt 7 tighten if it checks or draws slightly down. but watch very closely. You wont feel a fish take.
For nylon I recommend the double turtle knot- safe & easy to tie. i regret I have not met ----- I hope I may not be obliged to give up fishing before I am 94. a remarkable age & I expect his fishing memories are pleasant to recall.
Good luck
Frank Sawyer
p.s. The finer the cast point within reason the better the chance of deceiving fish
FS

Letter is written in his own hand (not typed),signed and has his address at the top.
As you can imagine I am really pleased with this little discovery. Hope it was of interest.
