Default Middleton Report

The fishing has been pretty good this week with most anglers catching there bag limits, best tactics have been sight bobs with bloodworms 6 feet down or daddie longlegs tweaked across the surface.
Catches: H Shaw with 2 fish for 3lb 8oz, B Eadie with 3 fish for 7lb 3oz, S McLaren with 3 fish for 7lb 8oz, I Law with 4 fish for 9lb, J Boylan with 3 fish for 8lb, P Coelho with 3 fish for 7lb 3oz, J Smith with 2 fish for 6lb, G Clugston with 2 fish for 4lb 12oz, J Strain with 4 fish for 11lb 11oz, G McLaren had 3 fish for 7lb1oz and released 2.
Catch and Release: S Jackson released 8, R Sambells released 5, C Tait released 7, A Wilkie released 5, I Hood released 5, M Allan released 2, C Sim released 4, S Cockburn released 3, S McLeod released 4, R Barr released 6, W Allan released 3, R McDonald released 4.
Flies: Orange Bloodworm, Pinky, Reverse Millennium Bug, Black Fritz, Various Daddie Patterns.
The fishery is running the 6 man team Winter League over 4 heats this year the dates are as follows Saturday 20th November, Saturday 18th December, Saturday 15th January and Saturday 12th February entry for each heat will be £120 per team with the overall winners receiving £600 there will be prizes for best fish and best bag at each heat plus a trophy for the best overall angler any teams wishing to take part please contact the fishery on 01475 689692 or pm me your details on here.

the fishing this week returned to something like its best with a serious number of fish being caught before the weekly stocking went in, A number of the larger fish that were stocked months ago have been getting caught, best tactics have been sight bobs with almost anything underneath or lures fished with sink tip or slow intermediate lines.
Catches: H Hamilton-Willows with 4 for 9lb 6oz and released 7, A Milicevic with 3 for 7lb 6oz, S Bruce with 3 for 7lb 6oz and released 5,
R Connell with 3 for 5lb 10oz, W Barr with 3 for 5lb 12oz, A Gardener with 2 for 4lb 12oz, T McDonald with 2 for 6lb 10oz, G McKenzie with 2 for 6lb 8oz, K Simpson with 3 for 8lb 7oz, J young had 2 fish for 6lb and released 4, H Shaw had 3 fish for 8lb and released 5.
Catch and Release: C Tait released 12, W Barr released 9, D Brogan released 9, A Anderson released 6, R Sambells released 8, S Jackson released, A Kennedy released 7, C Sim released 6, I Hood released 8, I Murray released 5, S Stevenson released 6, M Graham released 5, B Eadie released 6.
Flies: Yellow Dancer, Cats Whisker, Black Fritz, Various Bloodworms, Various Damsels, Orange Fritz.
The first date in the West Of Scotland Winter League has changed to the 27th November sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
The fishery would like to thank the club from Barrhead who attended the fishery on Saturday the conditions made fishing very hard but a great day was had by all thanks guys.

The fishery would like to thank Vale of Leven Angling Club who attended the fishery on Saturday 34 anglers had 116 fish and released many more cheers guys.
The fishery will be closed on the following dates for the West of Scotland Winter League Saturday 27th November, Saturday 18th December, Saturday 15th January, Saturday 12 February, Saturday 4th December is the Radwise Winter Cup £25 entry £150 to the winner 4 fish catch and release .

The fishing so far this week has been brilliant with fish taking everything from size 16 shuttlecocks to size 8 rabbits.
The West of Scotland Winter League is now full thanks to all the teams for entering.

The fishing this week has been tremendous with most anglers going away with there bag limits, best tactics have been dries or lures fished on various lines and retreives.
Catches: J Muir with 2 fish for 5lb and released 3, H Ovens with 2 fish for 6lb 12oz, R McWilliams with 4 fish for 10lb and released 12, J Burns with 2 fish for 4lb and released 3, K Dickens with 2 fish for 5lb, S Milne had 3 fish for 9lb and released 12, I Stewart had 3 fish for 8lb, A Gardener had 2 fish for 6lb.
Catch and Release: B Fitzpatrick released 18, A Borland released 10, A Coutts released 16, J Dunbar released 8, B Eadie released 7
B McAlees released 6, G Steele released 5, A Starling released 5, K Haggert released 8, J Tomlinson released 12, R Sambells released 5, M Graham released 5, M Allan released 3, C Tait released 4.

The fishing over the last 8 or 9 days has been very productive with plenty of good catches coming off best tactics have been dries or blobs fished under sight bobs.
Catches: I Law caught 4 for 10lb 13oz, S Ferrier caught 3 for 9lb 3oz, A Gardener caught 2 for 6lb 10oz, S Bruce caught 2 for 5lb 4oz, D Amarr caught 2 for 4lb 12oz, S O'Hara caught 2 for 6lb, R Graham caught 2 for 7lb
Catch and Release: B Fitzpatrick released 18, A Coutts released 11, J Tomlinson released 11, R Fullerton 8, C Tait released 8, S Milne released 5, I Hood released 6, J Dunbar released 4, R Sambells released 12

The fishing this week was tremendous until Sunday morning for some reason the fish were rising all over the reservoir but weren't willing to take anything the odd angler manage to catch a few, best tactics during the week were damsels fished on sink tipa and intermediate lines or blobs fished under the sight bob at around 4 feet.
Catches: B Eadie caught 5 for 13lb 4oz and released 7, H Shaw caught 2 for 5lb 8oz and released 3, A Gardener caught 2 for 5lb 6oz and released 2, I Stewart caught 2 fish for 6lb, S McLeod caught 3 fish for 8lb and released 4, C Sim caught 2 fish for 5lb 12oz, J Dixon caught 2 fish for 5lb.
Catch and Release: G McCauley released 26, S Milne released 15, M Clarke released 10, R Sambells released 14, S Miller released 6, J Tomlinson released 16, A McLean released 6, M Dixon released 5, A Kennedy released 5, R Fullerton released 4, C Tait released 8, I Hood released 7, C McDonald released 4, R Williamson released 7, A Boylan released 15,W Weir released 8.
Flies: Yellow Head Damsel, Red Head Damsel, Various Olive Dries, Various Blobs.

The fishery would like to thank the Scottish Youth International Fly Fishing Team who attended the fishery on Saturday 16 youths released 57 with parents also releasing over 30 fish on what was a hard day with strong winds.

The fishing this week has been up and down with strong winds making the fishing very hard at times, On the calmer days the fish have been taking almost anything thrown at them, Best tactics were Damsels fish on sink tip lines or bloodworms fished under sight bobs.
Catches: J Watson caught 3 for 6lb 14oz, J Young caught 2 for 5lb 8oz and released 4, D Stoddart caught 2 for 4lb 2oz and released 3 , J Tudhope caught 2 for 5lb, C Ferrier caught 2 for 5lb, C McDonald caught 5 for 11lb 12oz, I Stewart caught 2 for 5lb, G McLaren caught 2 for 5lb 1oz.
Catch and Release: B Quinn released 18, W Weir released 12, B Eadie released 11, K Haggart released 10, E Quinn released 8
J Curry released 6, B Fitzpatrick released 6, R Sambells released 7, S Milne released 6, J Murphy released 4, R Williamson released 22, I Hood released 6, M Dixon released 6.
Flies: Black Fritz, Yellow Head Damsel, Red Head Damsel, Various Bloodworms, Reverse Millennium Bug.
Competitions: Names are being taken for the 5th annual Radwise Cup being held on Saturday 11th December £25 entry £150 to winner also prizes for 2nd and 3rd contact the fishery for further details. The fishery will be closed on the following dates for the Winter League Saturday 27th November, Saturday 18th December, Saturday 15th January and Saturday 12th February sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
