Default Loch Ettrick
Loch Ettrick at Closeburn nr Thornhill in Dumfries is back open again.

The loch has been stocked well with Rainbows and Blues.

The loch is super for top of the water tactics.

9-5 8hrs - 4 fish £18.00

You can have any combination of hours between 9am and Dusk.

I used to fish Loch Ettrick years ago,wee CDCs worked well then as i remember .

The water is superb with CDC Emergers

I had 11 within 2 hrs.

The loch was closed last year but has been taken over by a gent from Kilmarnock ( An Angler) and is in it with a ten year lease for the long term.

I will be visiting again soon even though its a 80 mile round trip.

Loch Ettrick is fishing superbly well,I caught 7 rainbows tonight on a size 14 snowshoe emerger.

it sounds like i need to fit in a visit to ettrick in my nearly full schedule . on one of my regular trips to the english reserviors
