Hi. A friend of mine fished yesterday and managed 2. Reported nice fish but algae was an issue. Looking forward to going myself soon.

I was wondering about the water clarity. I've seen it like pea soup in late summer. I dont mind a bit of colour but might have a walk round first before buying a ticket, I'm not a fan of staring into murky water all day.

Good Morning

Well F1 got off to a good start and then it slowed down, fish are still being caught but not in such frantic numbers as last year. We have a stocking due towards the end of the month so with luck it should displace the residents from their comfy hollows and stir things up a bit.

Another 1,100 lovely RB's went into F2 last Thursday at an ave weight of 925grms each.

The end of these weeks’ figures saw the rod averages for both F1 and F2 at 1.8. Lower than we would like, but interesting that they are both giving the identical results.

We have had a nasty algae bloom in recent days but this morning shows a marked decrease and much better clarity. The weather for the forthcoming week is set to be windy and wet and although uncomfortable to fish in, it has the potential to improve the fishing.

We look forward to seeing you on the bank soon and don't forget your waterproofs this week.

All the Best

What a difference a day makes!!!

Yesterday saw 25 anglers catch 112 fish I make that a rod average of 4.48
Towards the end of the day the daddy's were catching, much to everyone’s delight. The fish I saw landed had lovely silver barred tails and all gave a great fight. Is this the start of things to come, we hope so.

All the best
