It's supposed to be fishing well at the moment with loads of fish (and fishermen) on the bubble lines, with fish all over. Dries and nymphs areworking as well as lures. I like fishing an intermediate on the bubbles just letting it work in the flow then everything goes tight with a fish on the end. all the usual suspects will take fish with damsels a favorite on here.

Tight lines
Iain

There is a good number of fish been caught from the boils, but with the cooler water temperature the area Blithfield suggests in his reply are well worth a drift & less boats to worry about.

Give the lodge a call 01283 703 202 Im sure the boats a fully booked for Sunday.

The bubble / aerators are situated in front of the valve tower on the bed of the reservoir where the depth of water when the reservoir is full is 120ft.

Air is pumped through which ensures the water doesn’t get a stagnant layer (it affects the taste of the water Im told) as the bubbles rise to the top it ensures movement in that deep body of water improving the quality of the water entering the treatment plant.

We the anglers benefit as the very much cooler water from the depths helps counteract the warm summer surface temperatures & of course the bubbles bring a column of well oxygenated water. It attracts trout.
