Default hillend help

i normally fish from the shore but hope the info will help , the north shore from the island to the dam has been fishing very well recently so i would reccomend starting in this area . i have been doing well with daiwl bachs particularly a small (size 14) black one , and when the mayfly is hatching a green peter or similar olive pattern on the dropper with a mayfly nymph pattern on the point works for me ! the normal traditional patterns are also coming good now the weather has heated up a bit , kate's , bibio's etc will all catch and a weighted damsel on the point can help get them down a little and is likely to pick off the recently stocked fish as well as any feeding on mayfly nymphs ! good luck and remember to post your results . its worth mentioning that the north shore can be very busy at weekends so keep well offshore , the water isnt deep there so you can fish 60 yards from the bank and only be in 6ft of water which is about right if conditions are bright !

thanks for info on leaving boat jetty on Sunday water was alive with trout gorging on the mayfly in near perfect conditions. Fish seemed to go of the feed after this and only caught small brown and some perch. bait anglers from the club caught at North shore and lost a few. Nice water enjoyed the day and would give it another bash. Would have liked to get on the water an hour or so earlier for there were some crackers scooping up the short mayfly hatch.

Smile try the bank !

i fished the loch the day before you from the north shore and once again caught on daiwl bachs , there were tons of mayfly hatching that day but i didnt see a fish take one ! the birds were hammering them for hours but the fish didnt seem interested ? i would reccomend you try the bank next time as it seems to be more consistent at the moment !
