Default Fishing loch Walton

Yes I've was fortunate to fish it a couple of times last year. It's a magical wee loch and you're right the brownies are in tip top condition. I found that behind the Island was quite productive and provided much needed shelter on a windy day. The facilities are first class all the boats have yamaha electric engines and members and their guests are provided with cushioned seats and a priest. The loch keeper was very knowledgeable, though his first love is course fishing! Wish I could afford to join the club. I'm reliably informed that membership is around £1,000 joining fee and £1,000 annual subscription. It attracts members from as far away as Edinburgh, Perth and the South side of Glasgow. I think many of which are corporate membership. Anyone thinking of poaching it don't! The loch keeper has a huge dog and he does'nt think twice about letting it off the leash. Also, when I was fishing it on both ocassions there were members of central scotland police fishing it. Helps keep poachers away, rightly so. If I was paying that kind of money to fish it I would'nt want to be sharing it with poachers. if ever you get the opportunity to fish it legally do it it's a wonderful experience.
