At the Goldenloch the fish are now spread all over the loch and when looking at the catches book, the flies that seem to be doing the right job are Shipman’s, hoppers, diawl bachs, buzzers, nymphs etc, what a delight it is to read, and also in speaking to the anglers everyone fishing just now is having a ball, the last few days have seen some great sport especially around the margins and up at the old lodge, the weed is a little bit a problem just in small areas, but this week should see a huge difference now that we have our own cutter, Andrew Lee and S Angus enjoyed a pleasant early start on Sunday albeit a bit wet with the youngster getting a few on a dry bibio, Tim Dover, BOE, had 3 for 8lbs using diawl bachs, George Duff, Buckhaven using traditional sedges, just taking it easy was Georges comments, Jim Gourlay and Alan Burke both from the Coaltown have been doing really well both lads using various buzzers have been catching fish in all parts of the loch, visiting from New York, Mr Webster, had 3 for 5lbs 8oz his comments were that he will be back,?? Its now starting to warm up to a decent tempreture, and with the forecast for the rest of the month good the fishing I would imagine just get better and better.
