Thumbs down Loch Earn

Fished Loch Earn today, started 10am, chucked it 2.30pm. Fished fly, maggot, bottom top. Never saw a fish. Fourth trip to the Loch yet to catch a fish. Is there any fish in it?

Fished it from the boat two weeks ago, water temp was only 4 degrees! Caught a couple of stocked browns....well under the average stocked fish of the last few years! Drummond Estate charge £43 for a single angler/8 hr boat (including permit)!!!!

Good value????? N0!

I went up Loch Earn on 23rd and stayed for 4 days-camped on south shore-had over 70 fish. Got most on maggot, but also caught around 30 on fly. Late evening through into the wee small hours with the fly is great. Loch startin to warm up now, so fly will be at it's best in June through to September. Best fish i got was 3lb broonie on maggot, but took fish (mostly broons) to 1 3/4 lb on fly.
I'll be back!!
