Default Esthwaite

I fished Esthwaite on Sunday and felt i had to comment on the superb fishing that myself and my boat partner had despite a cold northerly wind. We manged 20ish fish to the boat in 4 hours using buzzers and hares ears. The quality of the fish was second to none all giving a cracking account of themselves with a full set and perfectly mended fins. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the Lake District this summer. We fished the same drifts all around the bottom end of the lake.
Well done to all the staff at Esthwaite for finding a supplier of quality fish

Cheers
BFB

Had a good day on there on the 14th fishing with the Lancaster Blobber and BikeFlyBoy.

There was boats out practicing for the pairs heat on the 15th, but there were still stacks of good quality fish willing the take the flies despite the pressure.

Fish were around the beck end at the end of the reeds running north from the jetty and in the bay opposite the car park as well as in Stockie Bay. No need to go deep, fish were taking damels and other nymphs fished on an SSI or floater, but I know BFB caught on the male adult blob!

The fishing will get better here, I'd urge anyone who's thinking about it to get there.
