Default Plas-y-Nant Fishery Anglesey

Has anyone fished the Plas-y-Nant Fishery near Mynydd Mechell on Anglesey? I'm visiting the area at the end May and was after a small stillwater to fish whilst we are there. What does it fish like and what size are the fish likely to be?
Any other recommendations?
Thanks
Richard

Not fished it for about 20 years. Used to be good, nothing large but held rainbows, browns and americam brook trout. The brookies used hang around the margins. There was a large weed bed towards the center and you could distinguish between the rainbows and browns the water was that clear. Use to see the fish with their tails out of the weed. Definately a nymph water. End of May should see some hawthorns, black gnats etc. The guy that use to own it was called Ken. Remeber all this was 20 years ago. Cefni reservior is also worth a look, always caught when in a boat, only can have a boat as a guest between 10am and 4pm. No one else use to fish it, all locals went for 8pm. Anything black use to work and a wet line. Drift along the banks not too far out. Bank fishing dificult due to trees. Only one bank fishable and that had the railway behind you. Plenty of rudd in the margins that took anything green.

Have fun.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like it used to be a good place to fish. I've just got off the phone having found a contact number for the fishery and unfortunately its no longer in business. Never mind.
Are there any small fisheries on Anglesey? As I would prefer to fish from the shore rather than boat if possible?
Cheers
Richard

Cannot recall any, try Google search. You could try Llan Allaw. Big reservior with plenty of bank fishing, used to be able to get tickets from machine. They also allow worming. Use to swarm with midges early mornings this time of year.
