Went up yesterday for a look and spoke to a few guys fishing. They were saying it was fishing great so i thought i'd go up with my youngest and try the any legal method today. He LOVED it he caught 5 for 7lb which i know isnt the biggest but when your only 3 that seems HUGE, and he caught them all by himself. I also spoke to a fellow raith fan who was on the speciman pool and his fishing partner had 4 for almost 40lb including a 1 brown of at least 6lb. If you have kids who arent old enough to join you fly fishing then you can join them on the any legal method pools as fly is allowed on them.

What were the prices for permits ?

specimen pool is 4hrs 2 fish £22 or 8hrs 4 fish £38. fly only is 4hrs 2 fish £13 or 8 hrs 4 fish £18 then c&r or c&r is £11 for 4hrs or £14 for 8hrs. The any legal is 4 hrs 3 fish £13 or 8 hrs 5 fish £18 no c&r on either any legal pool.

Any discount for kids or is it the same prices as above ?

no discount but if you ask they MAY give a family ticket price. I cant say for def as i wasnt fishin only jr raithfan was fishing today.

what i forgot to say earlier was even though the fish werent huge they fought well as jr raithfan almost got pulled in
