And if so, how is it fishing ?

Sorry haven't fished it for a while, but there's a story about it in this weeks Glenrothes Gazzette. If I rember correctly there changing a couple of the pools to any method and re- launching it on May the first.

There's an advert in our local paper today saying it re-opens on 1st May sure enough with 2 any method pools, a specimen pool and a fly only pool.
No prices mentioned though.

Ken has been at the helm at balado for a lot of years now and i wish him all the best with this new venture. (now called kinross trout fishery) This place has been left to go down hill to long i am sure Ken will change this. Gonna give it a go over the weekend

I caught my first fish on the fly there! the place had just opened, if i mind rightly the grass hadnt even started to grow!! My old man set me up wi a slow sinker and an ace o spades. Think i was about 9 or 10, them was the days...........

I fished it for the first and only time in September last year. Although I got my limit, the quality of the fish was shocking, and I left feeling pretty disgusted. No fins, no tails, one was missing an eye... Pretty miserable stuff. So I'm glad to hear it's under new management - I might go back now!

do you have any ideas of the price? i searched google but cant find any info on it yet seein as its new, it still comes up with heatheryford,
