We went last week, still beginners so we lost a few without landing any haha. Some blokes in a boat were hammering it cast after cast, and a couple of guys off the bank had quite alot. Red buzzers seemed to be doing the trick, they did for me, but I lost all the fish i hooked!

Hi, went to day with Woz off here and had 10, Woz had 20. Mainly on yellow buzzers and a few on foam backed daddies. Great day, ck

I was fishing up at the other end in the bay yesterday. I tried buzzers for a while in the early morning with no luck so switched to dries. I used shipmans buzzers all day lost 5 or 6 fish including being broke twice by some very big fish. Afternoon from 2 to 5 was quiet but picked up after that. Lost a couple more and finally caught a 2lb rainbow which gave a good fight.

I really love that place the fish are in a league of their own. I need to work on keeping the fish on my hook and not letting them off.

Your right it did go quiet about that time, i didn,t catch the most fish but caught the biggest at about 6lb. Catching them on yellow buzzers about 8 - 10 feet down until about 6.30 when it suddenly went choppy then switched to foam backed daddies and Woz who i was fishing with caught a couple, i actually was then using a muddler pulling it back slowly through the wave which produced a lot of interest but sadly no solid hook ups, then we left when the lightening started.
We started fishing just near where the boats are moored but then moved to the far end of the deeps midmorning. All the fish we caught pulled like steamtrains which was impressive and is a credit to the fishery.
Always a pity when you miss a potential meeting with a forum member, always seems few and far between. cheers ck
